I am using an QHY5-ii camera and I upgraded all INDI-software to the newest versions this weekend.
The camera works in the native environment (KUBUNTU 16.04), but not in the latest EKOS VM, even if the VM is updated with the latest changes.
The host-OS on the laptop is Windows 10 and I also upgraded the VirtualBox to the latest version.
The QHY5-ii works under Windows 10 with the EZPlanetary program and the QHY5-ii can be assigned to the VM. it is possible to connect the camera in the INDI control Panel, but during the readout of the picture it stalls. The camera is initialized as the red LED is blinking and the blinking frequency corresponds somehow with the duration.
I cannot really verify if it ever worked before, because the QHYCCD did not work correctly in the navtive environment I tried in the past.
This is the reverse configuration (LINUX-Host, Windows-VM) but it seems to be a more general problem.
I am wondering if anyone ever was able to operate a QHY5-ii in a VM.
Yeah same here, it works fine on Linux but on Windows, I get timeout error. Maybe the host driver is interfering somehow, not sure. Might check it later.
Yesterday evening I found a workaround for this problem .
The QHY5-ii is working in the VM under Windows, if it was started before in Windows with the program EZPLANETARY from QHY.
