Hi, not sure why this keeps on crashing on Raspberry Pi (with ASI071-Pro), when starting Indi. I updated indi-drivers and KStars / Ekos, but situation does not change.

I have attached the log file, which says:

INDI Server: "Child process 2336 died"
[2017-11-29T23:31:49.272 CET DEBG ][ org.kde.kstars.indi] - INDI Server: "2017-11-29T22:31:49: Driver indi_asi_ccd: write: Broken pipe"

Would be great if someone could help.

Great news!! Could you decribe which steps you went thru, what means " rebuilding an arm" and which github directory do I need to access?

Thanks a lot, Helge

Hello Helge,
same issue was here. I am on LinuxMint with an ASI1600. The indi_asi_ccd driver crashed immediately. Yesterday I got an update via PPA and the issue is gone.
Does anybody know what was happen?

I'm getting the same thing only with indi_gphoto_ccd, and bizarrely, only on my intel bay trail acer notebook pc - Xubuntu 1604 LTS. The ASI is loading okay, and the other xubuntu machines are still okay too. I tried building with most recent git and both PPA's and nothing seems to help.

Any idea what could be doing this @knro? HAAAEELP! :D

hi!
had my 120MM running all night with the new 1.6 version of INDI on Raspian Stretch,; the camera was polling an image every second. No problems.

Sorry for the confusion wolfi, but mine is Mine is crashing on the Gphoto driver and not the ASI, I used this thread because while the problem was resolved it remains unexplained, So any answers might also benefit any other drivers reporting this error.
I also noticed at least one other case where it was some kind of compiler mishap. In my case even purging and recompiling from git did not help. Maybe I should start a new thread with a different heading?

[ Followup: This later resolved itself in the process of further work and so remains a bit of a mystery. It only occured on my intel atom processor Acer r3-131t running xubuntu 1604 LTS]
