Hi everyone
ASTAP (different versions give the same error)
The latest indi stable, shipped with kstars 3.6.9, from Jasem's ppa fails to rotate a correctly solved image:

Rotator Simulator : "[ERROR] Rotator target 125.72 exceeds safe limits of 90.00 degrees... "
Since 3.6.9 there is an experimental control field "Limits" in rotator simulator (see INDI Control Panel in tab "Main Control"). It defines a "Max Range in Degrees" and is unfortunately set to 90° by default. Just enter 180° there and save the config to make work the simulator rotator again. I do not understand exactly how this limit should work though.

I did set it to 180, and my Moonlight Litecrawler still will not work.
I had to revert back to KStars 3.6.8. :(

The previous versions did not have this limiter and it worked great. The Litecrawler would never wrap around over 360, so I'm not sure why someone added this limiter. I suspect if they allowed the user to set it to 360 all would be fine.

This is INDI change, not KStars. I just updated it so that by default it is disabled unless explicitly enabled by the user. Will ask Robert if he can rebuild the DMG.

@jasem
Could you please update the stable ppa for Linux users too?
TIA

I support the request. Makes no sense the rotator cannot go beyond 180d

Yes!!! I can’t use 3.6.9 (Mac) until this has been fixed, AND, a Mac version is published somewhere.

With my nitecrawler I get this error regardless of what I set in that limit option in the driver. I can manually tell it in the rotator control to go to it but it won't automatically go to it because of this bug.

Is there a way to update INDI similar to the kstars-update command?
