Hello,

Indeed, I used the Focus module on the Guide camera.
I guess that if I avoid doing such, and perform the focusing on PHD2 instead, it won't happen again. :cheer:

Thanks!

Hi,

I tried guiding with phd2, experiencing the same issue, with pictures coming up continuously on the Fits Viewer. I restarted KStars and avoided using a cam in Ekos prior to start up phd2. Issue still occurred.

I checked, the box "receiving external frames" was not checked.

@ Florian, did you have a chance retrying?

Helge, you're using 2.8.2?

So maybe there should be an easy way to block this. It can be done from INDI Control Panel, but I guess that is not obvious for most users. I thought of adding "block" button to FITSViewer but then I don't want to clutter the interface. Might add a separate "Block Stream" button.

or make Guide combo selectable when in remote guiding and when you select any camera there, it blocks it. I guess that's simple enough.

I added a way in the Guide module now to disable blob from CCD by selected them from the list. This way you can still use it initially in KStars and then disable it later.

Dear Jasem,

...now I have implemented KSTARS 2.8.2. Sorry, I shoud have checked before.

The new "way in the Guide module" that you were adding - will that be available in a future KSTARS (e.g. 2.8.3) release or via updating of the indi library?

Thank you once again,

Helge

Hello,
During the last sessions, the FITS viewer has not opened, as soon as Ekos was connected to PHD2.
Thank you ! :)

Hello,

I come with bad news: the bug is back.

Kstars 3.6.5 stable (build 2023-07-04T12:51:19Z)
Lodestar connected on indiwebmanager and Rpi
Guiding through PHD2.

When I uncheck the INDI DATA STREAM box, like stated here:
www.indilib.org/forum/general/2067-guidi...ays-guide-image.html
the image does not pop up in the FITS viewer.
But the checkbox is back at each restart.

Regarding the "Receive external guidefames" mentioned here:
www.indilib.org/forum/general/3934-guide...when-using-phd2.html
I do not find it anymore.

Thanks for your help.
Clear skies

Check your Guide Train. Is the camera there the same camera used in PHD2? They must be the same camera.

Hello,
I had a single train.
Adding a dedicated Guide train and selecting it in the Guide module fixed the issue.
Thank you!
