I have a GPS time source with a -4 Offset in EST timezone. Everything reports correctly in INDI drivers and system clock sync, But KStars is showing only -3 offset. This is when Time & Location Updates are set to GPS & Mount Updates KStars. If I choose KStars Updates All Devices, the offsets are correct.Edit: Not repeatable. What could be the cause of this?
There is no place to manually correct the offset that I can find while using GPS.
2018-03-27T02:22:39: [INFO] Setting UTC Time to 2018-03-27T02:22:39, Offset -4
I didn't use any GPS devices, i simply sync the time from the Internet or use the date set command
Yet I still found the LT is 1 hr shifted from the system clock. See screen attached.
Am I missing anything?
I've located where the problem is. If I select Hong Kong. China from the city list it appears KStar mistaken there's a daylight saving.
If I select Canton, China (which Canton is the province of Hong Kong) and the problem is gone. Then i've found in the DST rules which is incorrect:
#"HK": DST starts 2nd Sun in May, reverts 3rd Sun in Oct (3:30)
# (Hong Kong)
There's no daylight saving rules in Hong Kong. Can I change the DST rules file by myself? Thanks!
