I tried the first command: sudo apt-add-repository ppa:mutlaqja/indinightly
and got this error message: Cannot add PPA: 'ppa:~mutlaqja/ubuntu/indinightly'.
ERROR: '~mutlaqja' user or team does not exist.

Then I just tried to download the latest bleeding version: sudo apt-get install indi-full kstars-bleeding

And got this:

[sudo] password for stellarmate:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
kstars-bleeding is already the newest version (6:2.9.6+201805251429~ubuntu16.04.1).
indi-full is already the newest version (1.7.3~201805252021~ubuntu16.04.1).
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:
dkms fliusb-dkms fxload-libusb libfli1 libllvm4.0 libllvm5.0
Use 'sudo apt autoremove' to remove them.

This is odd.. it works fine here. Can you try again? maybe it was some odd networking issue. I presume StellarMate is connected to the internet?

Yah, must have been a strange internet issue. I was able to download a regular update so I was connected.
Anyway I just tried again and it's working now. Cheers and clear skies!

I will test this in a coupe of hours, and report back if the changes work.
Thanks again Jasem.

I downloaded the update, and I can see that INDI pulls the correct date/time and location from the IOptron CEM25P handset.
But KStars did not update with the new data.

I am running KStars on the Stellarmate, which has no RTC, so it is always wrong.
INDI grabs the correct details from the mount, so is there another user controlled option I failed to set in KStars?

I have the INDI option to pull the data from the mount's handset - which it did. The IOptron handset shows the correct details, as it has a GPS.
I verified the handset was accurate, INDI was accurate, but nit KSTARS - which still showed me in 2016.

Can you please share KStars log so I can check the issue?

I attached the log. Note that I only connected the mount, not the camera, and other gear.

I think the issue is with either KStars or user error on my part.
INDI pulls the correct date and time from my mount. I can verify that in the mount's INDI panel.
But KStars fails to update from it - even though I have that option selected (Mount updates KStars).

Did you turn mount logged _after_ you connected to the mount? Because the log file is missing startup logs from the mount. At any rate, please try again and attach the logs. Now mount logging should be enabled in Ekos.

I removed all the other gear to make it less cluttered, and then rebooted the Pi.
Heres's the new log after rebooting and starting INDI again.
Again, the INDI panel for the CEM25 showed the correct date/time pulled by the handset, but KSTARS still showed 2016 from the Pi's un-updated data.

For some reason, it's still showing old behavior. Please come to StellarMate chat and we'll take it from here.

I also have an iOptron CEM25P that does not update time or location in Kstars. I am up to date with software manager as of yesterday.
I'm using the mount, Nikon D5300 camera and astrometry.
I powered up the Raspberry pI 3B (Stellarmate OS) then started Kstars, entered logging selections, applied and then started INDIE. After a couple of seconds I powered on the mount. After about 45 seconds the mount acquired a gps lock. The mount handset shows the correct longitude/latitude and time but I don't see any update to those values in Kstars-Ekos-INDIE . Should the handset long/lat numbers show up in the site management long/lat section of the CEM25P mount?
