Great, glad it's working for you. The other indi issues you mentioned will need to be worked out separately. Also, I sent Jasem a new dmg and he posted it here. edu.kde.org/kstars/ The changes I made since the version you tested include night vision support in the what's interesting tool, an added button in the toolbar for what's interesting and also I fixed a possible crash that tool could get under certain circumstances.

Tried to use the Mac Ekos tonight. Typically I use the RPI3 Ekos version. Loved the speed of the plate solving on the Mac.

The Mac Ekos was connecting to the RPI3 running INDI Webserver. It is the same INDI webserver I used to tonight with the RPI3 Ekos, since the Mac did not work.

Could not get the Scheduler to work. It seemed to just hang. I started and stopped the scheduler a few times.

Please let me know if you have any ideas...

Were they any startup/shutdown scripts? What was your startup/constrains/completion settings? If you have an Ekos scheduler list file (.esl), then attach it.

Hi,

No startup or shut down scripts.

Two completion settings were tried:

1. Run sequence until complete
2. Repeat sequence 13 times.

ESL file attached.

Thank you

THanks, can you also attach the sequence file? I'll use everything to replicate the issue.

Absolutely... I should have thought of that: tired. Still imaging though with about 3o minutes before dawn :)

please find it below.

Same setup worked on RPI3 - which is still going now :) Unfortunately NGC 4038 went behind a house though... lol... so went onto next object.

Cheers!

Yes this is definitely a dbus issue on OSX, will investigate tonight with Robert.

Maudy--

I was working on the dbus issue today. Basically the issue is that at the moment, a dbus server is not bundled in the app. So if you don't have it installed on your computer already, then dbus commands won't work. Today I was working on trying to get dbus bundled into the app. Interestingly, it was much easier to bundle qt, Indi, astrometry, gsc, and xplanet. I got some good progress, but its not there yet.

But until I get that working, there is a very simple solution: Install the dbus server on your Mac, like it is installed on mine. You can type these commands into a terminal:

1. Install Home-brew (if it is not installed already): /usr/bin/ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)"
2. Install dbus: brew install dbus
3. Start dbus: brew services start dbus

(Note: These commands only have to be run once. brew will start dbus automatically from now on when you turn on your computer until you tell it to stop.)

Happy imaging!

Rob

Hi Rob,

Thank you! Dbus is installed now and scheduler is starting. I will be testing again this week with some dry runs and will use the Mac again when clear skies return.

If there is anything else that can help let me know.

Cheers!

Jasem just uploaded the dmg I built yesterday. Please test thoroughly. I think I have fixed the dbus issue. I bundled a dbus server and if Kstars on mac does not detect one on startup, it launches a dbus server of its own. Also the qhy driver that we worked on last week is now int there. And eqmod should now be fixed. Plus i noticed xplanet was not working properly and fixed that too. This also of course includes all other recent changes such as the fixes I did to the gphoto drivers and updates to whats interesting.

Please test it to make sure all these updates work! Thanks,

Rob
