Hello everyone,

first of all, thanks for the awesome INDI framework.
What is the current support for the Starizona Microtouch Focuser. I have seen a kernel commit to add the vendor and id information to the linux kernel. Does this mean, that someone is working on an INDI driver ?

Well, I submitted the kernel patch but it would quite a while before the patch is merged and before the kernel is available to end users. I received some incomplete documentation on the protocol from Starizona, but will contact them once the patch get merged into Linus's tree so at least we have some basis for testing with end users.

I guess it depends on what version you are installing. Beta support is in the source version.

Hi Marco,

Where does the beta support for the Starizona Microtouch focuser reside? I did a quick look through the source code directory tree for both the main Indi and 3rd Party Indi libraries but didn't see anything like "indi_microtouch_focus", starizona, etc. I do see "Microtouch" listed under available focusers while using the Profile Editor in the kstars I just built. I'm just a little confused (obviously) as I am very new to this. If you could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

Hi Ollie,
the driver is ready for testing with indi_microtouch_focus and is in the official repo. The sourcecode is under /libindi/drivers/focuser/microtouch.cpp. Any feedback is appreciated.

Found it! (now that I pulled from git and I'm not using the source downloaded from the website) Thank you. Everything compiled properly and it's connecting. I'll try testing tonight.

The focuser seems to work. I have yet to get autofocus to work.

use underscore "_" instead of dash "-"

I'll test it some more tonight.

Tonight's test went well. I was able to connect to the Starizona Microtouch box and run Autofocus with Auto Select Star chosen.
