Hello,
Have everybody installed Linux on a XPC DS57U (www.shuttle.eu/products/slim/ds57u/) ?
This should be a setup to be dimensioned for the Saint Veran observatory in France.
You can find informations (in french sorry) here: www.astroqueyras.com/

There are Russian astosib (www.astrosib.ru/) 500 RC telescopes on AP1600 with Apogee cameras.

Question: Is INDI/Linux strong enought to drive such systems which melt old (RS232 for robofocus) and new technologies ?

I don't see why not. If you have Linux on it, then you can have INDI :D

Which apogee cameras do you have there ?

I recently acquired a U16M with apogee filter wheel, and found the current indi driver for apogee doesn't support all the functionality in the higher end cameras. I've got code here that fleshes out about 80% of the missing functionality, then got pre-empted by 'real work' for a while, so I haven't yet finished it. The things I've added so far

- fan control
- read temps from the heat sink
- a few other little things, dont remember off the top of my head

Things still on my 'to-do' list
- support ir preflash
- filter wheel
