Has anyone tested the QHY5III174 with Ekos on RPI3 using Ubuntu-mate?

I may need to switch to this camera for guiding and such, and need to ensure it will work.

Please let me know.

Thank you

I don't know this particular camera, but I given up on QHY with RPI. I have a QHY 5P-II-c camera what basically does not work with RPI3, especially if you want to use ethernet connection because the RPI's ethernet chip sits on the USB bus and QHY stops working immediately. I think it is poor Chinese HW design. I tried everything, it just does not work. Now I sell this camera and switch to ZWO ASI185MC. The ZWO is also a Chinese brand and their camera use the same CCD chips like QHY. But according to my research on the internet, ZWO can do HW design correctly, unlike QHY.

Okay. My ASI174 is working fine. It was the smaller diameter of the QHY on my OAG that interested me.

I will pass for now and wait to see if things change.

The ASI works. I was just hoping to get more travel in the focuser.

Thank you
