The regular ppa has the stable versions. But according to the ppa listing, the asi drivers for ubuntu 17.10 failed to build.
Jasem needs to fix this before you can do an update:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade -y

Thank you. I'll wait for the update.
By the way, the same thing happens with QHY CCD.

I have just updated all my issues were solved:
-EQMod not connecting (like yours), no need to revert to old version
-ASI120 not getting an image, hanging.

I have 17.10.1. Do you recommend 16.04 better?

17.10 is actually not supported. Just 16.04, 17.04, and 18.04

I installed Ubuntu mate 16.04. But, when I tried : sudo apt-get install indi-full kstars-bleeding. I get:

"The following packages have unmet dependencies:
indi-full : Depends: indi-fli but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems. You have held broken packages."

What do I need to do?

I had similar issues with recent changes made to the repository. Try fixing it with this.
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:mutlaqja/ppa

Actually this is what I had used:
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:mutlaqja/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install indi-full kstars-bleeding

I just tried again but I'm denied access. Perhaps the developers are working on it.
Thanks
