This is a simple announcement post to find with Google. :)

I worked on the SkyWatcherMountAPI telescope driver these weeks to make it compatible with Skywatcher Virtuoso mounts. So far so good, the driver seems to be stable and works without any problems.

Feel free to use it.

Planned features:
- Support for wedge
- Autoguiding support

It is shipped with Indi and available in the PPA version and the Raspbian tar file as well.

I wrote some more information on the wiki page how it works:

The Virtuoso mount has a vertical drift which causes almost impossible to keep a target in smaller FOV (<1 degree) for a longer time. I implemented a software correction in the driver (SoftPEC) and it seems to work great. The details and how-to are detailed on the usual wiki page:

indilib.org/devices/telescopes/skywatcher-virtuoso-alt-az.html

The implementation should hit the bleeding-edge PPA today or tomorrow.
