I’ve had the exact same issue the last couple of times I tried using Stellarmate /Kstars. It occurred two weekends in a row. Stellarmate as server with Kstars/Ekos running on my Windows 10 Surface. Kstars would crash on my surface some random number of captures into a sequence. I had to stay up all night both times continually resetting the sequence. I was running the latest nightly builds on both Stellarmate and my Win 10 Surface. I too feel like the crashing is rested to the FITS viewer. I’ve since swapped back to my M3 compute stick with SGP until Kstars proves to be more stable. Hope the new release is more or less bug free as I love Kstars! I may swap back to Stellarmate my next night out and test with the newest nightly build since it has been a couple of weeks.

It’s 2:00am here, but couldn’t wait to try it out. Unfortunately exact same issue. I tried running KStars local on stellarmate and on my surface, the issue persists. The guide camera exposure hangs at every download from primary camera.. I tried a few different USB bandwidth settings for the primary cam - 40-80mb, even tried a couple of different cables. I have the guide cam hooked up to the hub on my ASI 071mc Pro, and that connected to the stellarmate, which is the only thing connected to the stellarmate. Any chance you could jump on teamviewer and take a look at what is going on while I have everything up and running? I really wanted to get out and do some imaging tonight if possible...

I’m jumping on a plane now to head home, I’ll give this a try first thing in the morning! Question - do I need to test this running locally on stellarmate, or will the updates work with me running stellarmate as the server and my windows 10 surface as the client running the the latest windows release of Kstars? Also, you mention possible RAM issues with the client, my surface has 4gig, is that sufficient? I will post as soon as testing is complete.

I tried both the SSAG and SSAG Pro with this driver, KStars running on stellarmate. Couldn’t get either camera to connect. Both guide cams were tested with no their euipment attached to stellarmate. Are there log files I could produce for you that might help with this?

Just tested this with my SSAG Pro, camera won’t connect. I was excited, was going to use my SSAG Pro in place of my ZWO guide cam until the dueling ZWO camera issue is resolved, but no dice.. Can I assume this driver works with the SSAG only, but not the Pro version as the OP was looking for?

I just got my new RPI setup, updated and tested the two ZWO cameras and issue remains. Guide camera stops responding while primary cam downloads. Cameras: ASI071MC Pro, guide cam ASI290 mini. This is with RPI running as Indi server over WiFi with KStars and Ekos running on my Microsoft surface. As previously tested, if I have the ASI071 save “local” only the issue is resolved, but I no longer get my images on the surface.

Looking for some help! I'm just getting setup with Stellarmate - so far I have everything up and running, just having issue with guiding... My setup: Stellarmate running as Indi server, connected to home Wi-Fi, Microsoft surface running KStars and Ekos connected to Stellarmate over home Wi-Fi. On the Stellarmate side, I have my IEQ45 pro connected wirelessly via StarFi. I have my main imaging camera - ASI071MC Pro connected to Stellarmate and my ASI290 Mini connected to the USB hub on the ASI071. Everything is functioning just about right with the exception of guiding. Each time my main camera downloads an image, the guide camera stops responding until the download is complete, it then reacquires connection and guiding starts again. Each time this happens the guiding/mount becomes unsettled and the next image is pretty much shot. I've never had this issue with PHD with my last setup, the guiding continued during image download with no issue. I tried connecting the guide camera directly to Stellarmate instead of the USB hub built in to the camera put the issue persists. Any ideas, or is this normal behavior? I've got dithering disabled so it isn't related to that.

Thanks in advance for any help with this!
