Astroberry Server 2.0.0 how to. Connect your devices, configure, focus, align and image the sky with just a few minutes. All of these with just a Raspberry Pi

Great video, love the multi desktop feature, is that part of raspbian, or a feature of Astroberry...?

This feature is available in most of modern linux desktops. Very useful indeed. I use the 3rd desktop for PHD2 and everything has its place ;-)

Hej Kaczorek!

Great work indeed (astroberry & this video), thanks for that.
But the Video stops short before my Questions are.

I´m thinkin about the sequences and the planner. When I create a sequence (LRGB) with more than one Image per filter, lets say 3, the sequence ist worked as follows. LLL,RRR,GGG,BBB.
But I want LRGB,LRGB,LRGB and so on.

What I do now is, i create a sequence of LRGB with only one Image per filter and in the planing tool I select repeat for 3 or more runs. But I think this is not the Right way.

Perhaps you extend your Video with this section (I searched for that anywhere)
And please, the Music not so loud in the video, your voice is hard to understand.

Thanks again

You normally do sequence like LLL, RRR, GGG, BBB. Why would you like it to go like LRGB, LRGB...?

One reason would be because you want data from all filters before the clouds arrive. It needs a system where the filters are parfocal or at least have a reliable focus offset or most of your time will be spent focusing.

I don't see a reason not to use mutiple sequences to get this behaviour.

Correct.

For example, I have an object that needs a lot of images, perhaps 30 á 5min. I want for each channel the same count. Don´t matter how much, but the same count.
With LLLRRRGGGBBB I only can hope that the weather good will be with me to finish my session.
With LRGB,LRGB.... I have a much better chance to have a complete set of images.
Another reason is, for example the first half of the night the conditions are top, the second half the seeing, the transparency and so on is bad. With LLLL I must finish somehow, with LRGB I can say, stop for the rest of the night and I work with that what I´ve got upt to now.
Up to now I work with maxim DL and this is the normal way of imaging.
Focussing is not the problem, therefore is the focus offset I measured once. Ho ever, my filters are homofocal.

AFAIK repeating the sequence, as you do, is the only way to handle this.

Hi Radek,

Ok, thanks a lot for your Help.

Where can I place Feature Requests ? (Sorry, I´m new to this all)

I miss this function really.
Maxim has both functions, normal is LRGB
That what we here use is called "Group by Slot"

Also another idear:
In the Indi Web Manager. Is it possible to integrate a Shut Down Button for the Raspi ?
To shut down the system I change to VNC and shut it down this way or I go via astroberrys wlan and shut it down there. This is a bit laborious.
I don´t think i can remove power without that

The features you describe are rather KStars/Ekos specific, so you can submit feature requests to Wish List subforum.
If there is anything Astroberry specific you can use Astroberry subforum.

Hello,

On a whim, I attached to the AstroBerry 2.0.0 within my network. Clicking the green Start button yields 502 Bad Gateway. Is there a configuration step needing to be done to enable an SSL connection?

Looks this takes me to http://192.168.200.26/Desktop. This is the 502!3 error.

From the INDI web Manager App, Configuration Options shows

Python and INDI-web incomplete

Clicking install yields “INDI web install failure”.

I have attempted to reinstall indiweb. 502 bad gateway are the results.

The other error I get is “This site cannot be reached.”

End result? First Light fails to light up.

Are you using image or vanilla raspbian and apt install to run astroberry?
