Hi.

In the left menu select Registrer checked pictures (the light frames must be checked, use Check all)
Select advanced in the Register Settings window, an use Compute the number of detected stars.

I think 10% is default, but higher % is better as long as 100 - 200 stars are detected.

Ah.. ok.. :) So, with the default 10% it finds 124 stars and at 7% it finds 166 stars and at 4% it finds 240 stars.. hmm.. strange piece of software.. as with anything in Windows.. :)

Strange... Those are good values, and not what i'm getting with the "raw" fits.
I just tried stacking the fits that i debayered in Siril (free linux stacking software), and then i got the same behavior as you described.

Not sure, but i'm using a newer unstable dss v3.3.4 to have support for the raw files from my canon eos 550d. Perhaps the fits support in that is not 100%?
I'm guessing you downloaded the standard 3.3.2?

Debayering in Siril or another software before stacking in dss is at least doable.
Will try to download 3.3.2 to see if it fixes it.

Thanks for checking it :)

Yep.. it probably is something with the new version of DSS and will be fixed in time..
Yes, I got the 3.3.2 version and didn't upgrade to newer even if it recommended so.

No problem.. :)

Just got dss to stack the original fits after downgrading and also omitting the flats that was to dark.

Happy to have completed my first 100% Ekos - INDI image. Guess all that im missing for my observatory is the "shed" and two actuators for the roof.

Managed to miss one of the Leo triplet galaxies, but i forgot to try the Alignment module after properly polar aligning. Guess it does not like trails.

That's good news :) and the image looks great even if one galaxy is missing :)
The alignment module is quite important with that you never miss a galaxy again :)

Good luck with your observatory, it's really nice to have one.
