I just updated to 3.5.7 stable. I got 1 frame in each case for 2 filters. DarkFlats fine. I'll reboot and retry.

Strange. Perhaps something wrong at my end ?
Restarted server (arm64) and client (x86_64). Both Ubuntu focal fossa with latest updates. Kstars 3.5.7. Same results:

I can confirm the issue if only DURATION is selected. Try to select "Filter" checkbox while I investigate the issue.

Filter checkbox ? Do you mean the "Take Flats at same focus" ?

Ok I retried using a fresh Ubuntu 20.04 x64 desktop install on a vm client and this works ok.

More bizarre. I set the location to Both Local and Remote on my workstation. It records 5 frames on the server but only 1 on the client.
Seems to point to a problem with my workstation.
I have used it several times in the last week (using previous version of kstars) never noticed anything amiss (kstars crashed once but I think this was an issue with the wifi network).

Client directory: /export/home/nick/EKOS/TEST/
Server directory: /home/nick/EKOS/TMP
5 frames saved on server but frames overwritten on client.

Ok I fixed the issue and submitted an MR: invent.kde.org/education/kstars/-/merge_requests/515

I'll try to backport to 3.5.7 along with other bug fixes.

Thanks for the post!    My Flats were not using the ADU, but what ever my exposure had (it had to have something).   It wasn't until I put 25000 in vs the 0 that was in there by default.

25000 might not be right, but I think I've used it in the past with success.

Hi Jasem. I have just tested the new DarkFlat option in the Capture module. This is now working correctly for me. Many thanks.

For anyone who doesn't know, this will take automatically exposed Flats and corresponding DarkFlats using same exposure as Flats.
Step 1, Choose "Flat" from drop down box in next to "Type" and set the number of frames and set the exposure to 1 second.
Step 2. Press the "Dark & Flat frames automatic exposure" button under the Offset box and set the ADU to the desired value (eg 25000).
Step 3. Cover scope with flat light or similar and start the Flat sequences. After a set of test exposures the Flat frames will be created.
Step 4.  After all the Flats are done press the "Generate DarkFlats" button under the Offset box. This will generate  a set of Dark sequences
by cloning the Flat sequences and changing Flat to DarkFlat. You will be prompted to cover the scope,
Saves making mistakes when editing or creating sequences manually with many filters.
