Can't change my bit per pixel

Can't change my bit per pixel was created by AlexLee

I want to change my pixel from 8 to 16, but I click set, and it didn't change, still 8 bit, how do I solve it, or where is the setup folder(MacOS). Thank you.

You can't change it directly, it's set per the format used to generate the image.
