The issue:
When both cameras are connected, on hitting preview or capture, Ekos crashes instantly.
If I connect just a single camera, it works.

One thing to add is that via lsusb, there is no way to really differentiate the two. even lsusb -v does not show any differences.

Does not appear to be able to choose the connection, there is no such tab.
I have the feeling that Kstars/Ekos and the OS (Ubuntu) doesn't know which camera really it needs to send the info to and crashes

I was able to create a UDEV rule to differentiate the two:

So if the driver could have a "connection" tab, we could select The camera. I think this would work.

This is interesting, I am able to control both cameras as a guider without issues. No crashes there, but Kstars/Ekos crashes instant if I go the imaging tab and try a capture.

I have now plugged in the two cameras on the Macbook pro (2011 edition) directly where I run Kstars and I'll be damn but it works there.

I may have found the problem !!!!
It would appear that when I load a custom LX200 OpenAstroTech driver, then this is when Kstars crashes on taking a capture. If I do not load up that driver and use for example the Telescope Simulator then the capture works.

if I run the driver manually like this and connect it all then it works

If I use indiweb, to do the same thing then it's not working... troubleshooting carries on...

So I went back to the indiweb interface without any changes to any config files, and it's working if I actually connect to the mount. If I do not connect to the mount, kstars crashed on taking a capture.
It's very odd...

Can you try the latest MacOS release from here? binary-factory.kde.org/job/KStars_Release_macos/

I shall try that later on today yes.
