Hi Mr. Mutlaq,

I am an astronomy enthusiast and user of Touptek ATR3CMOS26000KMA(Known as Sony IMX571mm), as I happen to know the general director of the Touptek astronomy camera R&D department, after learning about the QHY268M Mode0 mode, its advantages deeply impressed me. I then recommended this tuning and its value to him.

First of all, the noise distribution pattern is perfectly in line with the Gaussian distribution, with a single 600s to 900s long exposure, after the growth of exposure time, the number of readout is reduced, the sky light noise suppresses the readout noise up value, combined with the Gaussian distribution makes the post-elimination becomes exceptionally thorough. In addition release a super high full well and dynamic range.

After nearly two months of tuning, the touptek 571mm now also has this mode, with a full well of up to 150ke and new-to-noise Gaussian distribution characteristics

pic 1- New mode 0 which hopefully same as qhy268m mode0 photographic

pic 2 - Old mode 1 which same as zwo asi2600mm

We have already used this new mode perfectly in windows, and look forward to your Indi version of the driver to get the update via SDK, or tell us how to merge in the changes.

Noticing that you have requested a test camera, I passed it to my friend, the head of the touptek astronomy camera, and he kindly agreed. Thank you for your contribution to the indi community! If you still need it I can send you a private message with his email address to arrange the mailing!

I have a toupcam IMX517 camera here, we can test like we did with the Esatto.

I can give you access to the ports for SSH - INDI so you can remote in.

Let me know when you want to set this up, and I will get it done.

On StellarMate, you can just run this:
update_indi_core
update_indi_drivers

And the latest GIT is installed.

2023 is coming soon!Happy New Year!

Since I'm in Xubuntu here, I'm not using the latest version yet, have you guys used it?

It is worth reminding that, theoretically, mode0( meaning like High Full Well mode) will add a new switch for readout mode (Parallel to mode1 meaning like High Efficiency mode) on the indi panel, I'm wondering if there is a new switch.:cheer: :P

This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

This is Karas email, the director of the Touptek astronomy camera R&D department . About the test machine and sdk-related issues can be communicated directly, you can also send posts here and I will tell him to reply.

Today he told me he received an email from Indi Forum:

"INDI sent an email asking about the SDK bug. haha But I didn't understand what he said, so I asked him to give me the details"

If any assistance needed also could be posted here and I would help explain it !

Does anyone have tried to update?
I have done this is with

update_indi_core
update_indi_drivers

On stellarmate and the touptek driver crashes immediately after Start.

Best Regards

Just ran the same commands in StellarMate and the driver working OK. Can you please run the driver in Ekos Debugger and post the crash log? or if you type in

indiserver -v indi_toupcam_ccd

Does it crash immediately there? if yes, what's the output?

Mine starts the ToupCam indi driver (I can interact with the controls and turn on cooling and such) but when I start a capture, I get a driver crash:

trap invalid opcode ip:7f533b22da23 sp:7f53364d86c0 error:0 in libtoupcam.so.1.53.2[7f533a600000+1f79000]

The indi driver stops and closes. I will try to get some debugging on it.

It's an ubuntu 22.04 intel x64 system running remote to a system running the windows 64bit build.

I am using KStars from the latest binary-factory windows build.

I can confirm the crash on x86-64 as well. It's an issue with the SDK itself. Need to check with toupcam if there any another update.

Great thank you both!

Unfortunately I have newly flashed my stellarmate Os to get the touptek drivers to work again.
Restoring or factory reset does not work.

I will try to perform the update again to get the log Files if needed?

Best Regards
Sven
