DMK41 AU02.AS : How to configure it with INDI ? was created by Eric Magnien

Hello, two years proud owner of a DMK41 camera AU02.AS, one thing I miss: I've never been able to make it work under Linux. I yet have to go through a Windows virtualization, while the rest of my astronomical equipment is well recognized and operational with the INDI protocol under linux.
But yesterday I found a topic on the Imaging Source forum explaining a method for the camera to be recognized via v4l2. I reproduced the same method without frankly understand, but it works! I can now open guvcview and connect the DMK, the video is displayed!
Nice! I can try with Kstars ... The camera is well recognized with v4l2, but the picture is completely buggy

I've taken the same image with guvcview and kstars

What is wrong with the settings?

Are you using the new V4L2 driver (under the CCD group) or the V4L driver under the Video group? Also, can you post the server log for the INDI V4L2 driver?

I'm using indi_v4l2_ccd

Can you post the INDI _server_ log (found under the Device Manager)?

It appears a problem with PixelFormat

Ok, so it was V4L2_PIX_FMT_GREY. I now added explicit support to the format. Can you update libindi and test?

how to load the updated libindi? via your ppa?

You can use the PPA, but you'd have to wait until tomorrow for the packages to be built. You can also build libindi from source. Check this post for details: www.indilib.org/forum/general/210-howto-...st-libindi-ekos.html
