Hi,

Is it possible to add an optional feature of cool down on camera connect / cool down on sequence start and warm up on sequence complete.

Thanks.

It's possible with scheduler now.

I can see the warm up checkbox on the scheduler, but I don't see any other control over temp threshold/timing or anything relating to cool down. Am I missing something?

There is no central control for temperature step-down or step-up per unit time, if that's what you're suggesting. I guess it would be nice to add to Ekos, but requires a bit of work.

Hi, and happy new year

First I wish to thanks Jasem for all the wonderfull features of Indi/Ekos he already add...but...yes there's a "but", I think this cool/warm by step is a very good idea.
At this time I do it manually, setting the temp parameter step by step to avoid (or less) stress on the peltier stage and camera.
Is there a simple way to come in the part of ekos where we specify temp, and so comunnicate with this part ? Eventually, through the indi server ?

Regards

I find the QHY camera cools rapidly ...very rapid at 100% cooler power while the ZWO camera cools slowly in steps not sure why ? I though it was because of the camera driver and its control, having said that in NINA the QHY camera and the ZWO camera cools in steps.

I support that idea. Some cameras cool and warm vert quicky (thermally not that good). NINA and CCDIEL have solved that by gradually changing set temp until requested temp is reached. (Max ° / minute)
This would be a very useful addition.

Right, now Ekos just tells the camera to cool to a specific target temperature. It's not done in steps, but this could be added in the future.

This will be great ! thanks a lot Jasem ! It will also help with minimizing max power draw when running of battery supply.
