I had problem with the Canon DSLR driver. Then i used the GPhoto CCD instead. Now it works perfect.

I see that you use Kstars 2.9.8. Is there a reason not to upgrade to version 3.0.0?

I have the same issue and tried all of the suggestions following through from the beginning. Camera works fine with gphoto2.

With the exception of the camera name the logs are identical. The behavior is identical using gphotoccd or the canon dslr.

Have you checked the cables? Recently I had a similar issue and found that when I wiggled the USB cable to one side, the device would connect again. Or does it always work with gphoto, no matter how much you wiggle the cable?
