Have the camera and it works well with indi.
It seems that it the same sensor as by ASI 1600.
For the picture quality I'm to new in Astrophotographie too give a advise and I have no idea if it is a good camera.
But I think with a little bit work it will make good pictures.
Here a example from my second night with the camera M57
You see I need more work.

Hi BUUR,

thanks for posting. If that's your second night, I'd say it looks pretty darn good !

I'll be new to this soon. I have my guide camera but haven't chosen my imager yet.

Best,

cas

Hello,

can you tell me the back focus you have for this camera please.? The specs. say it's 17.5 mm but I'm not sure. Could you check for me if you have time ?

Best regards,

17.5 seems ok, but for exact measurement I have do deassemble the camera.

Hi there, thanks for looking. Noooooo, please don't take your camera apart :)

If you think it's 17.5, that's good enough for me.

Thank you.

Hi burr.

Finally, I've built my rig.

I bought one of these cameras too.

I had it out last night all ready to start some real testing but I could not get it to see stars. :( I messed with the numbers for quite a while but I had no luck. I haven't found the magic numbers yet.

I've tested the camera during daylight with Kstars video preview and it seems to work fine. If I try to capture an image though the Fits viewer just shows a big mess.

Would you be willing to share your settings with me ?

There were a couple of other things I had problems with. I can't set the camera to operate in 12 bit mode. The driver says it's running in 8 bit mode. I've looked everywhere I can think of but I haven't found where to change this.
The driver often reports that it can't get the temperature from the camera, have you seen this ?
Lastly, when I did a "capture and solve" the astrometry module would crash. I don't think there's anything wrong with the module, it probably crashed because it was called with no data.

Anyway, interested in your thoughts and if you share your settings I would be very grateful.

Kind regards,

c

For 12bit check if you take raw pictures.
If you see no stars check your focus. Star disks are very weak.

For the temperature, ignore it.

Kind regards

Hi,
thanks.
I know I'm definitely set to raw.
I will try the focus and see what happens. Is it best to use a video stream to do this ?

Yeah, the temperature thing doesn't appear to cause a problem - happy to ignore it.

Thanks again,

For focusing I use single picture with a exposure big enough to see the weak star disks.
Greetings
