Hi guys
I`m thinking of rejigging my scope/mount ccd setup to include plate solving to get more accurate postioning for spectroscopy. I intend to use my Lodestar on a separate ED80 guide scope to do the solving and take spectra through my main scope with my Atik 314. The spectroscope has the facility to attach a further ccd to check if a star is actually on the slit and I notice Ekos can work with (Image source) DMK type camera`s but I`m wondering if my DMK21 camera will be ok for this as it has the older type firewire interface which works fine on Windoz but I`ve never tried it on Linux and the laptop I have doesn`t have firewire although I`m planning to build a pc tower specifically for my obs with Linux,Kstars/Ekos, firewire card etc installed on it. I think I would need to use extra Linux software (maybe wxAstrocapture) for the DMK as I don`t think Ekos can control 3 camera`s??
thanks
Steve
