QHY5L-II-C, USB3 and Mac issue

Hi,

I'm running KStars/Ekos on a Mac Book Pro with USB3 ports. When using my guide camera (QHY5L-II-C) I can't control the gain setting (it's just stuck on gain 1). I connect the guide camera to my main camera's (ZWO 294MC Pro) hub and the connect my main camera to my laptop. Could this cause an issue?
Last time I set my main camera to RAW16 which gave me a message from Indi that Raw16 wasn't supported by all cameras. My guide camera only showed static and noise last time I tried using it.

Is there an issue with the QHY5L-II cameras on Mac? And is there a workaround (should I try connecting the guider directly to my Mac Book)?

All inputs are welcome (as tonight looks quite good for astro fun)!

Ok, I tried connecting the QHY5L directly to my Mac Book (via a normal USB hub) and that worked. So I guess there are some issues with this camera through a USB 3 camera using RAW16.

I'm still not able to change gain settings for the QHY camera, though.
