Has anybody noticed any change in resolution of FITS files from ATIK CCDs?

I use ATIK 460EX, it's resolution according to specs is 2749 x 2199px.
I have just noticed that until ~ 4th of September the FITS files have been 2750x2200px (+1x +1y) and after update in the second week of September the resolution changed to 2749 x 2199px.
Apparently the resolution change comes from the update.
The version after update is:
- indi-atik 2.4~201909051842~ubuntu16.04.1
- libatik 2.2.6~201909070041~ubuntu16.04.1

The same applies to the latest indi-atik 2.4~201909222057~ubuntu16.04.1 and libatik 2.2.6~201909222058~ubuntu16.04.1

I run ubuntu mate 16.04.1 on Raspberry Pi.

The problem is that the resolution change results in critical problems in calibrating light frames because darks, flats, bias from you library etc have different resolution.

Can anybody confirm this issue?

PS. Similar topic has been already discussed in this thread .

Hi there,

I have the ATIK414EX mono, however, it seems to be a similar confusion as with your ATIK 460EX.
According to ATIK website technical specification (see screenshot):

Horizontal Resolution: 1391 pixels
Vertical Resolution: 1039 pixels

however, in the AtikSeries4Manual.pdfAtikSeries4Manual.pdf
it is listed with resolution: 1392x1040.

I tested the ATIK414EX with ATIK's windows capture software Artemis and in windows it captured with: 1391x1039.
Same behavior also with latest INDI and INDIGO driver, so I guess 1391x1039 is the correct. Though I have no idea why such an odd resolution. Looks like
one row and column is left out.

For your ATIK 460EX it is the same confusion on ATIK website. According to website tech spec it is:
Horizontal Resolution: 2749 pixels
Vertical Resolution: 2199 pixels
However, in PDF manual it is 2750x2200.

So I guess the correct resolution suppose to be 2749x2199.

Cheers
Thomas

This is really strange.
Sony ICX694 sensor (ATIK460EX) according to datasheet is 2750x2200 active pixels (2758x2208 effective pixels).
Sony ICX825 sensor (ATIK414EX) according to datasheet is 1360x1024 active pixels (1392x1040 effective pixels).

Myself and @broadcastyourseb have reported this to Atik, and they confirmed the situation. My own flat frames show weird cuts as if only part of the sensor was in use.

EDIT: this was for 314E.

If it relates to all ATIK CCDs (we know of the 3 mentioned) this would mean it's atik library problem, not the driver itself.
