Hi all;

Moravian Instruments C4-9000 driver crashes when trying to connect from Ekos.

The problem was detected in two different machines with Linux Mint 19 and KStars v 3.4.0 build 20200203.

I tried to uninstall/reinstall KStars with no success, the issue remains.

Captures are attached

Can you help, please?

Thanks in advance

This *might* be related to the recent split of libmicam from indi-mi drivers. Run this:
ldd /usr/bin/indi_mi_ccd

Thanks for your quick reply.

Attached is the content you demanded.
At this time, the problem happens in four different machines, two pc with linux mint 19.3 and two rasp running raspbian.
As a curiosity, another RasPi with astroberry works properly.

Thanks again.

It is probably related to the latest change that Jasem mentioned above.
The change included:
(1) splitting indi-mi driver from binary libraries from Moravian Instruments
(2) upgrading binary libraries from Moravian Instruments to the latest version (0.5.0) provided by the vendor

Could you provide output from these two commands:
ldd /usr/bin/indi_mi_ccd|grep libgxccd.so
file /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgxccd.so.0.5.0

Hi Kaczorek;

Here's the info:
a02@a02:~$ ldd /usr/bin/indi_mi_ccd|grep libgxccd.so
a02@a02:~$ file /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgxccd.so.0.5.0
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgxccd.so.0.5.0: ELF 64-bit LSB shared object, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked, BuildID[sha1]=48b63e81b6e24df7c6976a13137c6e6ad9c82aa4, stripped
a02@a02:~$

The first command doesn't return anything.

Thank you!

Let's run one more thing:
ls -l /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgxccd.*

OK. So you have the Moravian libraries in place. This is good. However they do not work as expected and this is bad.
I will send a message to Jakub from Moravian Instruments to let him know there's an issue with the libs.

Great!

In the meantime, we have restored to an early version of Linux (MInt 19.2) that contains KStars 3.3.7. In this version, my MI works fine.

I hope there will be good news soon! :-)

Thank you very much!!!

Any update on this? I think I will revert the INDI MI driver to the older working version for now.

Jakub has just confirmed that the camera works OK with the driver.
@transneptuniano could you reinstall the libs and driver and retest?
sudo apt reinstall libmicam
sudo apt reinstall indi-mi

Also please provide details of your system: operating system version, kstars version, libindi version
Last but not least, can you recompile the driver from sources and test it on your system?
