How to install libindi-dev on Mac for 3rd-party driver development?

I can build indi on my mac. When trying to run cmake for indi-3rdparty, it fails because it can not find INDI include directory. For linux, the remedy is
sudo apt-get -y install libindi-dev
There does not seem to be a corresponding Homebrew package for the Mac. How do I move forward with 3rd-party driver dev on the Mac? My C/C++ skills are veeery rusty. I would like my indi and indi-3rdparty builds to not be installed so they don't trample on the stable working version.

Hi Dave,
if you really want to build it on your own, please take a look at Robert' scripts here: github.com/rlancaste/KStars-INDI-Mac-Dev
