At least for me. I compiled the latest status before the Stellarsolver-cmake commit. Now the HiPS (I use DSS col) was showing psychedelic squares, distorted stars, slowing zoom to a crawl. Eventually it crashed.
Back to kstars-3.5.1-1773_gdd0d33f0b for observations now...
Can confirm. HiPS changes have corrupted the rendering.
I recompiled from master branch but with the stable. 3.5.0 version of the files hipsmanager.cpp and hipsrenderer.cpp and it resolved the issue.
I think it may be to do with Jasem trying to get it to work properly on 4k monitors, as there were issues....and it did not work well at all.... maybe he broke something....I have let him know...
