Hi,

Sorry if I were not clear. I was talking about the Dome module, as you showed.

I have no dome driver in my profile and still the Dome module is shown. With the Simulators profile, it behaves as expected.

I had a look in ~/.local/share/kstars/userdb.sqlite and no occurence of a dome driver in my profile.

So why is the Dome module loaded?

Thanks

I can't replicate your issue (using 3.5.9 on OSX).
Could you please take similar screenshots?

I think if drivers have weather information (e.g. Sesto Senso 2 temperature sensor / Pegasus power box environment sensor) then you get the dome tab.

Hum, that's interesting. There is indeed a weather sensor on both devices. I'll try to remove them to see is the Dome tab goes away on not.

Will let you know once done.

Thank you.

I experienced the same behavior. As soon as I connect my Pegasus PowerBox (which has a temperature and a humidity sensor), I then have the 'Dome' tab visible in Ekos.

I also have a Pegasus box but never paid attention to that one.

Could it be related to some snoop device settings?

What do you mean by that? Can you please elaborate?

Hi,

So I removed both sensors, booted the device, launched Ekos, and the Dome tab was still there.

So it's not the simple fact to have the sensors physically connected that triggers the Dome module but must be in the the drivers themselves somewhere. (Or something else).

It's not the connected devices that open the tabs, but loading/connecting to the driver. So you can keep them connected, but remove the driver from the profile. Removing them one at a time should tell you which one causes the dome tab to open.
Once you found the 'guilty' one check in its INDI tab if anything refers to the dome.

It's my belief that weather monitoring is part of the observatory module. If you collect weather metrics (by having weather sensors, or using weather drivers) then you will always get the observatory module visible.
