There is nothing in the log that indicates a meridian flip was even attempted. Are you certain it was checked? The scheduler does not control it, so if it was unchecked, it would remain so.

I have it checked in the Mount tab. Screen attached.
Is there anywhere else it needs enabling?
TIA

It looks as though it never got as far as the flip (m33, transit time 02:59). Nothing is logged between 01:49 and 04:34. The last entry in the log is:

Did it crash/stop working but leave the mount tracking perhaps?

TIA

Yes, so while we check why this happens, you better include Watchdog driver in your equipment profile.

Im running kubuntu 21.04
The syslog has a lot of these e.g. when the kstars logging stopped:

Sep 29 00:01:49 g50 kernel: [ 9758.640211] usb 2-2: reset high-speed USB device number 13 u
sing xhci_hcd

** how do I ' include Watchdog driver in your equipment profile'

Cheers

OK. Thanks. Got it.
What sort of heartbeat threshold? Say 5 minutes? Or just leave it at default (zero)?

That will be down to you really, you'll have to experiment.

OK. Just looking for a heartbeat interval to start with really. TBH, I can't work out what Watchdog does, exactly.
I'm assuming that it runs on the client and listens for activity (?) Or does it run on the indi-server and send Heartbeats that way (?).
I figure that with guiding exposures every 2.5s, the indi-server must be sending something to EKOS at that interval. Then there are guide pulses to the mount...
Therefore my guess of 5 minutes of NOT receiving at least the guide images should do it, no?
