Hello all,

I realize there are a myriad different setups out there, but does anyone have a sense how many frames per second can be achieved under the Ekos CCD tab?

For example, I have a series of 2000 x 2000 px photos taken at .02" exposure with an ASI183MM written locally to a solid state drive. The capture rate was just under 100 per minute or 1.7 per second, bandwidth set at 76.

An impossible question to be sure, but I'm wondering what other people might be experiencing.

Thanks.

You can increase this by:
1. Enabling fast exposure
2. Setting storage to remote instead of local. This way INDI server does not need to send any data back.

I do believe the limitation will be the write rate on the drive where images are being stored, assuming that its being stored locally to same device to which camera is attached. (i.e no network latency)

Thanks for responding.

A quick write speed test (dd if=/dev/zero of=tempfile bs=1M count=1024) results in 2.6 GB/s.

This test is performed on the computer to which the camera is attached; that is, "local" in the Ekos tab.
