I have it set to name the files "Part15-Dec13" but it's only naming them "Light"
Mac OSX version 3.6.3 beta.

Any ideas?

Hey Peter, I believe the latest EKOS they are correcting the naming convention. I think you can hover over the format, and it should show what the Variables that are available to name them somewhat correctly.

The gang is trying to fix internal naming conventions internal to EKOS.

Target is now %t so you can modify format to this

/%T/%F/%T_%t

The file name format for saving remotely is pre-defined, placeholder tags may not be used. A best practice is to replace spaces in file names with an underline (_) or hyphen (-).

Did you see any spaces in my file name?

Thanks Jasem.

So "T" is Type, F is filter and lower case "t" is Target Name.
I tested it out and while it saves the target name now using the lowercase t in the format, I didn't like the extra type used as a prefix that you suggested, as I already have the files segregated by type in their own type folder. So instead of using /%T/%F/%T_%t as you suggested, I just use /%T/%F/%t. Works great!

Thank you

Peter

Jasem, on the latest (Windows version on binary-factory) the suffex number does not increase (the _%s3 value) It stays at 1. Not sure why this happens, but I put the date variable into the file name and I can save all my images.

But before I would end up with Light_001 as my only frame, from a full 50 image run. Lol

Also sometimes the Imaging train doesn't load on EKOS and I can't spawn the imaging train configuration (as it usually spawns itself when I make a new profile).

After sorting out the solver issues, I have now had a chance to use the new file naming.

This is a significant improvement, except where it replaces a space with an underscore.

It is normal and expected that many object names contain spaces and replacing that with an underscore is both annoying and appears to be unneccessary. It means I have to rename the files after, which is what I have always had to do and is no real improvement.
