I'm observing a handful of mag 19 or 20 asteroids. I would like to have them available loaded in Kstars, but in order to do so I have to set the download limit to mag 20 and Kstars becomes very slow.

Is it possible to add only selected asteroids? Happy to do so manually by updating asteroids.dat myself with a python script or something. So that I can keep the download limit to 12 and just add the asteroids I'm interested in.
