I saw this a few days before and thought it was an issue due to the WiFi mount connection. Tonight I've switched to a cable connection but the problem remains.
When I am done with the PA procedure, I press Stop but nothing happens, at least on the GUI.
I can recall that after the competition automatically returns to the first screen with the options below.
Instead, I get this (pressing stop returns: Refresh is complete.
I have to disconnect, stop and restart Ekos to have back those options.
Am I missing something?
Forgot to mention, StellarMate X OS and I've attached the log file.
I tried it in the simulator and it worked ok for me. Not sure what's going on.
What if you try polar aligning in the simulator, do you still have that issue?
Also, I noticed from your screenshot that you had multiple KStars instances running.
Can you try with just one instance running?
The message passing inside of KStars/Ekos can certainly be messed up with multiple instances.
(DBus develop.kde.org/docs/features/d-bus/introduction_to_dbus/)
I am not using multiple instances - at least on purpose. If you say that from the menu bar, those are just the minimized windows in Kubuntu not being grouped. If I change this setting I have this:
But, that rings a bell: After my mini PC boots up, I use no machine to control it. When I get in the app is already loaded as it should be (cause is Stellarmate). So this is my screen:
Then, I start Ekos and get this message back:
I am not pretty sure that has anything to do with this, but you got me on "instance".
It's possible you were asked if you wanted to abort the PAA process and said no. I found that if this happened then you cannot stop PAA process at all in future sessions. I've disabled this dialog in 3.6.5 coming up in a few days. So this *could* be your issue. You can check KStars configuration file and see value for restart_PAA_process_dialog, and it should =true
