I video about StellarMate... Just trying to spread the good word. (PS: A lot of people prefer this product (www.store.shoestringastronomy.com/products_eq.htm) to the hand controller you see in the video. Personally I prefer to keep the hand controller in my (mobile) setup.)

Great work Greg! I'm making this sticky since it's quite useful for new users!

Thanks a lot, Greg, for the video (one more) you gave us. They are of great help for those who, like me, have our more and our less sometimes with computers, servers... And thanks also to your camera assistant...

Pd. in case someone wants to save some more cable. If you have an "eqmod" cable, it can be connected directly from the mount to the "stellarmate". That way, you don't have to use the hand controller.
Thanks again, Greg. I look forward to the following.

Hey quick question please, what is the brand of the GPS module you are using in your setup here. That looks like a really interesting addition to an imaging rig.

The quick answer is I don’t remember but I can look it up.
But I would recommend that you look for one that operates at 9600 Baud or is truly USB - ie. doesn’t have a USB-to-serial converter. That way you will have plug and play.
The one I have is 4800 so I have to configure the gpsd for that. But I’ll check the brand which works nicely so far.
