Saving pictures on DSLR SD card

First of all i'd like to apologize if this topic is too basic and somewhere explained, but I haven't been able to find it.
I'm learning how to use Ekos to control my Nikon D3400 and I can't find any way to save pictures on the camera's SD card, so I can focus only in taking pictures and not losing any time between shots.
Is it possible?
Thank you very much!!

I dont know about Nikon,i use Canon (but both use Gphoto lib) but you can set where it save the image under Indi when you start Indi and afer you connect to the camera - you might have to scroll down but it say something like image saved on client or sd card or both - read this especially about "saving locally" - hope that helps www.indilib.org/devices/ccds/gphoto.html
