and happy new year and long life to Ekos and his prophet Jasem
Could it be possible to mark (with color or a cross) the star on which we put the vector correction in the polar alignment. Because it is very easy to loose this star, adjusting the mount with the knobs and so very difficult to recover?
Short answer, No.
The choice of star is up to you. Try to choose a recognisable star. It may be the brightest, or part of a recognisable shape to get your bearings back. Also make small adjustments at a time.
What you are asking for is to highlight a star and track it as the image refreshes during adjustments. That would require some form of pattern recognition. Will definitely be a technical challenge and have plenty of overhead.
