Takometer rotator not recognised.

Hello. I wrote about this before with no replies. No wonder ,it was very vague.
The takometer rotator uses a robofocus motor and controller. In devices /custom drivers you can only change the label not the family. Because of this it is not recognised as a rotator and
is not an option to use it as such in ekos. Not sure how to proceed. Any help much appreciated. Thanks

simply changing the xml file would not work because Robofocus driver is operating as a focuser, not a rotator. A new driver needs to be developed for this (using the same command set)

Thanks jasem.
Is that very hard to do. I will give it a go if I can. What tools do I need.

You need to migrate the class from INDI::Focuser to INDI::Rotator, so unless you are a C++ developer, it won't be easy.
