Hi everyone
The search function crashes kstars for certain targets, e.g. entering 'cocoon'.
Enter the target in the search field and hit enter. Freezes.
Worked fine before the latest update to: Build: 2019-08-08T02:43:23Z
Logs attached.
TIA for any help.

I can confirm the problem, same here.
Build: 2019-08-21T17:32:57Z
Task KStars consumes 100% (1 core) CPU power.

Hi and thanks for the fix.
But this occurred after an update to the stable version. What about stable users?
Would it be better NOT to issue updates to the stable version until they have been tested in the nightly builds? Or perhaps even better, issue no updates to stable apart from major releases?
Cheers,
Steve

Stable version gets maintenance releases (i.e. 3.3.X). No users found this bug when we were testing the 3.3.4 nightly for a few weeks. It's related to the "Sorry" dialog you get when no object is found on the internet. Perhaps this is why no nightly users encountered the issue.

At any rate, I've marked KStars for 3.3.5 release soon with all the recent fixes as well.

Nights were short in the northern hemisphere where I believe the majority of nightly users live. Night sky time was reduced so probably less testing happened. However, when the code for the sorry dialogue has been modified it would have been a good idea to test it right away rather than put it out to nightlies and hope somebody will stumble upon bugs before they make their way into the stable release.

Just wondering if that was also the reason for another hang that I just had: I had terminated the (manually started) indiserver while EKOS was connected (guess that also triggers some 'Sorry' dialog?). Whole kstars fell dead, not reacting to anything else than a terminate signal.
I'll definitely recompile with the fix and try again...

I'm rebuilding KStars nightly now (v3.3.5), should be available in 1 hour.
