Just reporting that Kstars 15.04+r5188.213 on the Ubuntu 15.04 VM doesn't work, please see following video to see what I mean.

Just confirming I got the same problem

I have the same problem on Kubuntu 15.04, but as workaround you could remove your actual position data in the KStars configuration file (~/.config/kstarsrc) under the section [View]
This error occurs also when the update process of supernovae failes. So it seems to affect multiple message boxes, but the intial wizzard is working without failures.

Thanks for this great piece of software - we're going to use it at our school in a few weeks hopefully.
