I already have it on my list - a RG11 would be the sensor of choice. Since it comes from US, customs for a single sensor is quite high. But if we order two or three of them, that would be a fine idea.
The effort is not that high, we simply need to write a dedicated header file with reading the sensor and translating the data into JSON. But that's straight forward with an Arduino.
hello
I have a question, how to set the right value for the sky temperature for cloud detection.
Because I notice that now that the temperature becomes wintery the detection is not precise enough anymore.
Do I have to change each time at the change of season, or is it a ratio between the temperature, for example, the temperature of the cloudless sky and x degree less than the ambient temperature?
For tweaking the parameters I have an Excel so that I can import CSV data from a RRD export - see attachment. With some Excel knowledge it should be possible to understand how it works. For questions, send me a PN.
