I finished my flats for test under EKOS 3.5.1, so I opened to check some udates, and it was: Kstars 3.5.2 bleding-edge.
So after an "sudo apt update && apt upgrade" and restart Ekos crashs with all drivers devices ....
I have uninstalled the last version and reinstalled it, but always this issue, I have not any time to install the 3.5.1
What a pity, the sky is open for astronomy this night !
Same here, both the crashes and the frustration. My crashes seem limited to the ASI-camera and filterwheel driver though. The rest seems to be working.
Tried both local (Linux, 3.5.2) and remote (MacOS, both 3.4.2 and 3.5.2), but nothing gets the camera to work. Looks like it's in the driver more than in Ekos.
Can't use the system tonight either it seems.
Normally I never upgrade so fast, but since I knew there was a highly anticipated update for the Sesto Senso 2 drive I took the plunge.... won't do it again..
How do you know if you upgrade to the nightly build? I just got a message from the Ubuntu upgrade manager about all sorts of components that had an update available. This included INDI and KStars, so I just clicked ‘yes’.
I assumed because until recently 3.5.2 had not been released yet. It turns out that the nightly now is 3.5.3 beta so apparently KStars 3.5.2 has been released.
EDIT: And now I see this post announcing the release:
Thank you Jasem. Yes, after repeating the upgrade this morning the remaining drivers got updated as well. As far as I can see all working fine now. Thanks again!
