How is the HFR value in the Analyse tab calculated? was created by Rene

I'm a bit confused.

When I do my autofocus routine, I have a recorded KFR of 0.66. This is done on one star only. Yet when the HFR is calculated on a captured image it is reported as 1.99 in the Analyse tab. Why the difference?

While theoretically, HFR should be identical over the whole frame, seeing makes this value slightly different for each star. The HFR recorded for the frame is the mean HFR value of detected sources in a 10-90% rectangle, leaving out saturated stars and outliers greater than 2 sigma.
