I suspect that on ARM there are random values (uninitialised data) as far as parsing failed. I'll handle this situation in next version, but it will not fix the problem. You're right, that it may be related to CDC ACM class.
There hasn't been a new release from Peter so probably not, but the issue not very relevant anymore with the open-source driver included in INDI which doesn't have this issue and has worked fine for me on both Raspberry Pi and x86 for over a year now. Btw. I did some cleanup of the property names for the driver which I might send a pull request for at some point, but it's purely cosmetic, nothing urgent.
