I am looking for driver of the PlaneWave Hedrick focuser. This is the only thing that kept me from trying EKOS.

Is there a command set for this focuser provided by PlaneWave?

I found a "driver" in C. Should be enough for someone to connect the dots! =D

Try the Celestron GPS driver, the commands look the same as the Celestron focuser controlled through the HC.

Thanks! We'll give it a try! =D

I just noticed that if you back the above URL down to the parent dir, you'll see the rest of the files and in the README they mention that the connection is via the hand-controller, so that sure sounds architecturally similar to the Celestron way.
Not that there is any apparent/implied/obvious/known-to-be-a-fact past shared history between the companies. ;-)
Haha.

Will report back on whether the Celestron GPS driver works here. Thanks again! =D

You may find that the mount can be controlled by the Celestron GPS driver as well.

I spoke to PlaneWave about this. Apparently many years ago, they used a Celestron interface, but they no longer use it and the current product / driver isn't compatible with it.

I do have the command set documentation and posted it on a new thread.
