autoselect star...... subframe.....

autoselect star...... subframe..... was created by Michael

had several sessions corrupted by a failed autofocus procedure:

after meridian flip the subframe is most likely empty...
occasionally "autoselect star" chooses the center of a galaxy and is unsuccessful...


do you have any suggestions?

This is a known issue (selecting center of galaxy). It might be worthwhile trying SEP algorithm. I think there is great potential in SEP (it is what sextractor uses), but it needs to be tuned. Hopefully someone else with more free time and understanding can make SEP algorithm suitable for focusing in Ekos.
