ZWO EFW crashes EKOS/Kstars #50264
Apparently every time I tell EKOS to connect to my ZWO electronic filter wheel it crashes EKOS/Kstars. I can connect to all other devices just fine but when I add the filter wheel the whole program shuts down. I attached a log from EKOS. Any help is greatly appreciated!

ZWO EFW crashes EKOS/Kstars #50271
Can you run it via GDB?
gdb --ex run kstars

If it crashes, just type in backtrace to get the trace for the crash.

ZWO EFW crashes EKOS/Kstars #50296
My ZWO EFW 5 wheel mini been doing the same. I've just had to stop everything and restart. Seems to only happen early on. Never had it after focusing and starting a imaging session.

I haven't thought to turn on the logs, I tend to forget its going to happen.

ZWO EFW crashes EKOS/Kstars #50321
I FIXED IT!!!! That's how loud I wanted to yell it through my whole house but my kids a sleeping so I'll yell it here. I FIXED IT!!! Long story short on the ZWO electronic filter wheel I had screwed in one of the adapters to tight and it was prohibiting the filter wheel from spinning. The second I removed the physical obtrusion everything started working. I was testing this on my windows laptop with the ASI software and when I saw that nothing I did on my windows laptop would spin the wheel I knew the problem was something different then an issue with Linux. So I started investigating. I do appreciate every ones time in reading this thread and especially to KNRO for being so prompt with your reply. If anything changes I'll be sure to write. Thank you all!!!

ZWO EFW crashes EKOS/Kstars #59652
Joined just to say Stuartspink is right. My adapter and filters were sticking out just a bit too far towards each other and not allowing the wheel to spin. It would've been nice to get a message to that effect instead of crashing, but it was only a quick search to find this so not too bad.

So far really enjoying the kStars/Ekos/INDI on my Mac and RPi4, thank you devs!
