Hello
I just got my "The Pyxis" for my telescope.
and I'd read, I think there was a driver for it.
But I can't find it, so can anyone order "The Pyxis" from Kstars?
hello
so I saw, but I got an error message.
2020-03-14T20:49:24: [ERROR] Failed to connect to port (/dev/ttyUSB0). Error: Port failure Error: No such file or directory. Check if device is connected to this port.
Yet my PC finds it
Bus 001 Device 009: ID 10c4:85b6 Cygnal Integrated Products, Inc. USB ROTATOR - PYXIS LE
I often get USB issues as the ports change every time you plug a device in. Restart the INDI server, try connecting again, try different ports through the driver interface.
hello
so I tried, but it doesn't change anything.
How do I find the right port for kstars?
Because when I scan from kstars it doesn't find anything!
Is there any way to know where to force kstars to find the usb port?
No this is fine. This is a USB-HID device (not serial). I already asked Optec about this last year and they said they will send information on it, but nothing received thus far. I sent them a reminder, but please contact Optec support and ask them about this as well.
"There is no INDI driver for LE Pyxis due to the lack of the USB-HID protocol. Please send the protocol to INDI developers so that they can develop the driver."
hello
so after two email reminders to optec, I got a response from them.
I'll copy it to you.
Do you think he's gonna do this on short notice, or is this just a marketing response?
I mean, I hope they're a serious team.
If they keep their commitment, it'll give them some good publicity.
And I'll be sure to get good publicity for them...
