Major INDI Library release v1.9.0 bring significant internal changes championed by @pawel-soja to modernize core INDI Library drivers and clients. New drivers for DeepSkyDad Flat Panel & Pegasus devices plus further improvements to PCM8 drivers.
Looks a bit messy still but I now only have to attach a single 12V power supply (Battery or mains).
Raspberry Pi running Indi connects to a dedicated Wifi router. Kstars / EKOS running on an old Macbook Air.
Pegasus personal powerbox. Provides all the power and the power/logic for the dew strips.
USB 3 powered hub.
The 2 BECs provide 5 V for the USB hub and the Pi.
Scope is a SkyWatcher Esprit 100.
Focusser is a PrimaLuce Senso Sesto.
Guide scope is the converted finder scope from my 8" dob.
You cannot see it on the pictures but I also have an iPolar (best non essential piece of kit I have bought).
All supported by a belt modified HEQ5.
Camera is a non modified EOS 6D and I am currently using a STC Dual narrowband filter (Ha and OIII).
It did take a while to get everything working reliably but now it only takes me about 15 minutes to get everything ready to take the first image.

Here is a photograph of my Indi setup. It consists of:
An OnStep modified Astro-Physics AP400 mount;
An ODROID N2 computer running Ubuntu, KStars, EKOS and Indi server;
A RPI running as a hotspot;
A ZWO ASI1600 camera and Zagyl filter wheel;
A Pegasus Astro DFMC focuser and Power Box;
All this on a home made telescope cart (missing a wheel ) that will allow me to roll it out of the garage and get ready for observing/astrophoto within minutes.
I have a few scopes I swap out depending on my imaging target, but here's what's in the photos below:

I know it's a lot and I know I really need to control the rat's nest of cables. With this I'm able to completely take all my light flats and darks from indoors. I setup the scheduler before it gets too dark, and watch it for a bit to make sure nothing funny happens. I the morning I check the logs then go upstairs to cover everything up. Now if we can get a couple of clear nights....

Hi all, just thought I’d share my latest creation to further simplify the number of components in my setup.
So, my current rig requires 3 devices for my imaging session.
1. A computer to run kstars/ekos (I currently use the Asus tinker board)
2. A powered USB hub (because my USB3 cameras suck too much power and the Tinker box would not run them without additional power)
3. Astroberry focuser (running in server mode with a Raspberry Pi 0W) which connects to Asus tinker board via indiserver) to focus.
My mount connects to the Asus Tinker Board via Wifi. Eventhing is controller by remote desk topping.
My latest creation is the "ultimate" single box device which uses the current Raspberry Pi 4 (4G version) computer. It eliminates the Astroberry focuser running in server mode and the powered USB hub. Everything is inside a HighPi Rapsberry Pi 4 enclosure (see raspberry.piaustralia.com.au/products/hi...ry-pi-4-model-b-case).
I also installed a cooling fan and heat sinks to keep everything cool. Under full load I'm only seeing temperature of 59 degree C with ambient temp of about 26 degree C.
I have all the wiring for the Astroberry focuser which runs a DRV8825 motor controller connected to the Rpi4 GPIO. I also fitted a 12VDC to 5VDC 5Amp buck converter inside, which powers both the Rpi4 (i soldered the power supply directly to the RPi4 board, do this at your own risk!! see picture) and the Astroberry focuser.
I connect my Astroberry focuser to the motor using RJ12 plug.
And that's it. Everything runs beautifully and I reckon this is the ultimate mobile rig.
